The portable 2020 intruder
detection system offers long-range transmission of programmed alpha-numeric
text messages to a pager. The 2020 Detector consists of a high quality
20 metre fan infra-red detector and tamper vibration sensor coupled
to a radio paging transmitter powered by an internal 12 Volt rechargeable
battery with a 4 week operational period. A switch-selectable walk
test beeper can be used for system testing or as an audible deterrent
to intruders. When the sensor detects an intruder the transmitter
is triggered and a radio message is sent to a Receiver / Alarm Panel
or message pager up to a distance of a mile radius from the location
of the 2020.
The pager beeps when a message
is received. The message is of the type " Unit 1 Intruder ".
If the 2020 is used in a fixed location a programmed message can be
used such as " Intruder in Room 97 ". These features offer
the user the ability to keep informed of security information whilst
on patrol.
